2014년 4월 23일 오랫만에 극장에 찾아가 본것이 스파이더맨2 어메이징.

영화에 대해서는 할말이 없지만 주인공 피터가 친구이자 사랑하던 여자였던 그웬과 헤어지고

다시 만나게되는 장면은 기억에 남는다. 

도로 반대편에 서 있는 그웬을 발견하고 고정된 시선으로 무단횡단하는 주인공 (영화니까 -_-)

그리고 오랫만에 만나 나누는 둘의 대화 뒤에 흐르는 노래가 바로 'Song for Zula'

스파이더맨에서 기대하지 않은 의외로 로맨틱한 장면이였다. 

사실 Song for Zula를 듣고서 어디선가 들어본듯 하다고 생각했었는데.. 

Phosphorescent, 이분의 목소리가 보통은 아니니 그럴만도 하다.

나중에 알게 된 것이지만, 작년 연말에 Vampire Weekend에 한창 심취해 있을 때 유투브에서 

'Ya Hey'의 Cover를 업로드한 그 가수였던 것이다. (생각도 못했던 평행이론에 소름..)

술 한잔하고 읍조리듯이 노래부르는 듯한 느낌.. 인생의 온갖 고난과 역경을 경험한 한 듯한 애달픈 목소리..

초반부터 끝까지 나오는 베이스소리는 마치 천천히 뛰는 심장소리를 연상시킨다. 듣는 동안 심장이 같이 두근거리게 되어

더 감동적으로 들리는 거 같다.

가사 내용은 사랑에 관한 이야기로 구구절절 옳으신 말씀..(...) + 사랑에 관한 노래중에 가장 맘에 드는 표현들..
